WINDSOR - Colorado Congressional District 4 Democratic Candidate John Padora is calling for current Republican Representative Ken Buck’s immediate resignation citing Buck’s upcoming proposal to enact the 25th Amendment which would remove President Biden from office.

Padora said Rep. Buck’s actions are only intended to undermine the sanctity of President Biden’s leadership and sabotage his run for a second term in office.

“In just one term, President Biden has been able to pass several key progressive policies that benefit all Americans, and his success is rattling the GOP’s cage,” said Padora. “This is a blatant political stunt, and I am extremely disappointed that Representative Buck is using his upcoming retirement as a means to push a ridiculous proposal as a last-ditch effort to elevate Republican presidential challengers and other Republican Congressional candidates. Buck should immediately resign.”

Padora also said Buck’s move is not representative of Colorado District 4 residents and the views of the American people.

“This broken promise to represent our constituents and instead play political games is yet another reason why I’m running for office,” said Padora. “The People need to know our government elected officials are unified and committed to moving forward in the Congressional session, but Buck is wasting valuable time and our tax dollars on this absurd proposal.”
